This standard describes insulating materials made of phenol formaldehyde resin (PF) rigid foam, polystyrene (PS) rigid foam and polyurethane (PUR) rigid foam and factory-produced as boards or sheets (also profiled and/or coated) which are used for insulating purposes in building. According to the type of application these insulating materials may be used e.g. in walls, ventilated roofs, under pressure-distributing floors, in unventilated roofs under the roofing skin and for parking decks. It specifies terms, designation, types of application and apparent desities, type of manufacture, coating, profiling, type of delivery, requirements, testing, marking as well as internal and external control.
