This standard gives a method and material data for the calculation of the thermal transmittance of frame profiles, and the linear thermal transmittance covering edge effects due to the glass or other filling elements (annex C). This method can be used to determine the heat flow rate and surface temperatures of frame profile items. By frames is meant frames, sashes, mullions, transoms and grid systems for windows and doors.
