This national pre-standard provides information for the design, installation, inspection, maintenance and testing of an effective protection system against the lightning electromagnetic impulse (LEMP) for structures with electrical and in particular sensitive electronic systems. It provides basic methods and data for LEMP protection systems. Moreover guidelines are given for the co-operation between the designer of the LEMP protection system in order to achieve optimum protection effectiveness.
