This standard is applicable to the assessment of the risk for a structure caused by lightning flashes to ground. The object of this standard is to give the procedure for evualation of such risk to a structure. Once an upper tolerable limit for the risk has been selected, the procedure given allows the selection of appropriate protection measures to be adopted to reduce the risk at or below the tolerable limit.
