Is to be used in conjunction with IEC 669-1. The clauses of part 1 apply except of the replacements, deletions, additions and amendments given. Particularly, replaces clauses and subclauses 1, 3, 7, 13.5, 15.4.1, 17, 19, adds new subclauses 3.101 to 3.110, 5.101 to 5.104, 8.6.101 to 8.6.102, 13.101 to 13.102, 18.101, 101 bis 105, tables 101, 102, figures 101, 102, annex AA. Applies to electronic switches for the operation of lamp circuits and the control of the brightness of lamps as well as the control of the speed of motors (e.g. in ventilating fans) and for other purposes (e.g. heating installations), with a working voltage not exceeding 250 V a.c. and a rated current up to 16 A.
