This standard describes the measurements which shall be carried out in a building for the assessment if water supply installation meets the requirements concerning the noise emission. The test procedure specified includes measurements when the water is discharged. The standard is also a guide for determining the causes when the permissible limits are exceeded.The noise emission may be caused by appliances used in the water supply installation, flow pressure, water inlet, water discharge, type of ground plan, performance of the building and performance of the installation.
