The standard applies for grades of steel castings with specified minimum valves for the mechanical properties at room temperature and which are used for general purposes. Described are the requirements for the delivery condition, the mechanical and magnetic properties, weldability, shape and dimensions. In addition, the general technical delivery conditions for steel castings according to DIN 1690 part 1 and part 2 are to be taken into consideration.
