This standard specifies polypropylene ropes of high class made of filament yarn from fine spun fibres. It lays down the main characteristics of these ropes such as types, sizes, minimum rope breaking load, and linear density of rope.*As opposed to conventional polypropylene ropes (e.g. according to DIN 83332) these ropes have a higher breaking load and are of higher flexibility.*Standardized types are A hawser laid rope, E normal braided rope, H solid braided rope, K core mantle plaited rope, and L eight strand plaited rope. Technical requirements for these fibre ropes are given in DIN 83305 part 3.
