This document specifies reference equivalent threshold force levels that correspond to the hearing threshold levels of young otologically normal persons, determinated by bone conduction audiometry. In this context, the standard also specifies requirements concerning characteristics of the bone conduction earphone and the type of coupling as well as characteristics and reference levels of the masking noise.
