This European Standard specifies the performance requirements for rigid or flexible metal liners and rigid or flexible connecting flue pipes (coated or not) used to convey the products of combustion from appliances to the outside atmosphere. These requirements are to be verified where appropriate with the test methods listed in prEN 1859. Connecting flue pipes are intended for internal freely exposed use only. Vitreous enamelled connecting flue pipes are also covered by this standard. Flexible metal liners described in this European Standard are exclusively for renovation or adaptation of existing chimneys.
