The purpose of the present standard is to lay down standard methods of measuring and testing the values laid down in the DIN 66234 series of standards for equipment, workplace and work-room, and to give instructions and guidelines concerning their application. It will make reference to existing measurement standards and supplement them with respect to their application to display work stations. The use of equivalent measuring techniques is not excluded thereby. The requirements and recommendations laid down in the DIN 66234 series of standards require measuring techniques at display work stations relating to the measurement and maintenance at the workplace and performed by the manufactures and importers during development, production and maintenance, as well as such work performed by inspectorates.
