The standard contains a method for testing the resistance of coatings against sprayed sodium chloride solution. As testing apparatus a spray cabinet according to DIN 50021 is used. Details are given concerning preparation of coated test panels, treatment of the test panels (e.g. scratching by particular scratching tools), specimens that have not been scratched, procedure and examination of test panels and specimens.
