Deals with basic methods of measurement of the audio characteristics of the digital audio part of audio and audiovisual equipment. Describes measuring conditions and methods, which are used in the measurement of performance characteristics of equipment having an audio bandwidth approximately one-half of the sampling frequency of a system, where the audio information is processed in form of digital data. Applicable to tests for equipment with analogue output and digital input.
