This standard applies to residential buildings and buildings that are designed to house office premises or for similar purposes (small businesses, doctors' surgeries) and are fitted with electrical systems or prepared for their installation. The standard applies to planned and existing buildings alike. It describes the specifications to be agreed upon between the client and the electrical systems designer and defines minimum requirements for the installation of operating networks.
