This standard specifies requirements for design, planning, installation, operation and maintenance for fire alarm systems in conjunction with DIN VDE 0833-1 (VDE 0833-1) and DIN 14675. The standard includes requirements for fire alarm systems to protect life and property in buildings. This standard does not include requirements for operation of fire alarm systems together with non-fire protection functions.
