The document specifies requirements for design, planning, installation, operation and maintainance for fire alarm systems in conjunction with DIN VDE 0833-1 (VDE 0833 Teil 1). The document includes requirements for fire alarm systems to protect life and property in buildings. The document does not include requirements for operation of fire alarm systems together with non-fire protection functions but it has to ensure the correct operation of all parts of a fire alarm system together with other systems if it is necessary for unrestricted functions of the fire alarm system.
