Supersedes partly the IEC Publication 364-3-1, the remainder of that standard being superseded by IEC Publication 364-41, Part 4, Chapter 41: Protection against electric shock. Deals with the purposes, for which the installation is intended to be used, its general structure and its supplies, the external influences to which it is to be exposed, the compatibility of its equipment and its maintainability.
