The document serves for the determination of the analytically required fire resistance time erf tF of the structural components of a fire compartment in industrial buildings and makes it possible to specify fire protection requirements through the building regulations (e.g. in the Directive for industrial buildings). DIN 18230-1 applies to buildings or parts there of which serve production or storage purposes (industrial buildings).
