Specifies a method for the static verification of extensometers. The term "extensometer" is understood to mean the displacement measuring device and the system for indicating or recording this displacement. Gives symbols, principle, calibration apparatus, procedure, classification of the extensometer, frequency of verifications and verification report, Annex A shows an example of verification ranges, annex B contains parameters for classification.
