This standard specifies concepts and definitions, dimensions, requirements, testing and labeling for security door plates. According to this standard a security door plate serves to protect the locking mechanism (especially the bolt-fixing pin of the door lock) and the locking cylinder (euro-profile) at a door against unauthorized mechanical manipulation in order to break into the room secured by the door. The security door plates indicated in this standard are subdivided into threee classes of burglar resistance from which the user may choose according to this respective need of protection. Security door plates according to this standard shall be marked by the DIN test and supervisory symbol and are subjet to continuous manufacturing control.
