Specification of a method for the determination of dynamic mechanical properties (shear modulus and mechanical damping) of plastics in the range of small deformations, as a function of temperature. Measuring of these properties of temperature in a sufficient broad range (for example from -50 °C to +150 °C) determines the transition regions of the polymer. It also gives information concerning the commencement of plastic flow.
