This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition (ISO 3083:1973), of which it constitutes a technical revision. Gives underlying theory, basic principles, and basic requirements for the purpose of determining the quality characteristics of the consignment (size distribution, moisture content and chemical composition). The methods are applicable to all iron ores, whether natural or processed (for example, concentrates and agglomerates such as pellets, sinters or briquettes).
