This standard applies complementary to DIN 1690 part 1 and 2 and stipulates special requirements concerning the pressure bearing walls of valves for severe service conditions made of steel castings. This standard includes various definitions, indications for ordering and, in particular, specifications for non-destructive testing of steel castings for inner and outer coundness.
