This standard applies to three-layered chimneys with insulating layer and movable inner-layer to which standard fire places according to DIN 18160 part 1 are connected. It is the purpose of this standard to simplify the assessment of usability by means of system descriptions to enable a company to control its three-layered chimney programme in such a manner that - from fire engineering design through delivery including accessories, to installation and acceptance of the chimney - no further control be necessary to assure regular operation of the chimney.
