The standard summarizes construction details and thermal output values of standard heating appliances which before had been represented in 4 individual standards (DIN 4703 part 1 and part 2, DIN 4720, DIN 4722). Such appliances are steel and cast iron radiators and single or double plate type convectors without convection elements. Based on the recent years' experience some additional dimensions of heaters were included in this new publication.
