Classification of containers for handling and transport of radioactive materials and for radiation protection tables and safes in installations for nuclear medicine. The standard specifies requirements for the construction and layout of radiation protection tables and containers for the safe handling and storage of radioactive materials and their transport within the internal area of the department.*For 39 radionuclides used in nuclear medicine are tabulated: activities given a dose rate of 25 µSv/h (2.5 mrem/h) at a distance of 25 cm behind a lead shield of s cm (s = 0; 0.5; 1; 2; 3; 5 and 10), wall thickness of other shielding materials (iron, barytes, concrete, ordinary concrete), which have the same attenuation factors as a lead shield of s cm and the minimum lead equivalent values of lead-glass windows, which can be used with radiation protection tables with abreastwork of s cm of lead.
