This document specifies product requirements for prefabricated structural members (e. g. trusses for roofs, walls and floors, frames, composite beams and girders) for use in buildings made from structural timber (with or without finger joints) assembled together with punched metal plate fasteners. These members are not intended to be used under predominantly dynamic loads as for example bridges or for use in unprotected external conditions. The standard also covers methods to carry out the evaluation of conformity and the marking. It covers prefabricated structural members manufactured from timber treated and untreated against biological attack.
