In view of a good harmonization with ISO 1634 part 3 the two previous DIN 1777 and DIN 1780, both editions June 1974, have been combined in order to have one complete technical condition of delivery for strip for springs.*Based on ISO 1634 part 3 the scope and field of application has been extended from leaf springs to other spring products, such as contact springs for switches and connectors.*The extended fields of application required the inclusion of some additional copper alloys, e.g. CuZn30, CuSn4, CuNi18Zn27.*The specified properties, e.g. Vickers hardness, bending radii, spring bending limit, dimensional and form tolerances, are internationally agreed and cover the latest stage of technical development.
