This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition (ISO 1133 :1981). This new edition includes a new procedure for the automatic measurement of both melt mass-flow rate and melt volume-flow rate under specified conditions of temperature and load. The test conditions are listed in annex A. The melt volume-flow rate will normally be found useful when comparing filled and unfilled thermoplastics.
