Specification of a method applicable to all compounds containing epoxide groups. This method is based on the reaction of epoxide groups with nascent hydrogen bromide produced by the action of 0,1 N standard volumetric acid solution on tetraethylammonium bromide. Determination of the end point crystal violet as indicator or with a potentiometric method.
