This standard applies to the continuous quality control of reinforcing steel bars, welded fabrics and reinforcing steel wire of material grades according to DIN 488 part 1. It covers the specifications for the nature, extent and assessment of tests to be carried out at suitability testing of the producer works, the continuous internal supervision of production and the external supervision of the products.
