This standard describes the verification of the suitability for welding of reinforcing steel bars of the grades BSt 420S and BSt 500S according to DIN 488 part 1. It covers the specifications for the performance (extend, materials, test methods) and the assessment of the tests to be carried out at suitability testing of the producers work and for the evaluation of the long term quality level.
