Applies to metal-enclosed and insulation-enclosed switchgear above 1 kV up to 72.5 kV a.c. (IEC Publication 298 and 466) under severe climatic conditions with respect to condensation and pollution. Gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) is excluded. CLassification and rules for tests are dealt with under special consideration of performance of mechanical components, such as drives, interlocks, and enclosures.
