Defines in Part 1 the terms and quantities used and deals with nature and extent of technical guarantees, test conditions to be fulfilled, the test procedure, the computation of results and the final report. Describes in Part 2 the different methods of measurement for the particular quantities. Is not concerned with the structural details of the turbines nor with the mechanical properties of their components. Supersedes the first edition of IEC Publication 41 issued in 1928.
