The standard describes a chemical-physical method for the determination of the electrical conductivity of water. The electrical conductivity is a parameter for the determination of the ions dissolved in water and allows to judge the quality of surface water, drinking water and waste water. The electrical conductivity is to measure with a measuring cell, plunging in water and fitted with electrodes, and to indicate in Siemens per meter (S/M).
