Requirements for connection components and tests have been integrated in the new standard DIN EN 50164-1 (VDE 0185 Teil 201):2000-04 "Lightning protection components". The spark gaps of the old DIN 48810 are not yet integrated in the DIN EN 50164-1 series. The scope of the new DIN 18810 is only spark gaps, requirements and tests.
