The stadnard describes a method for the estimation of the colour of clear liquids according to the platinum-cobalt scale. According to this method, a sample of the product to be tested is compared with a series of colour standards, using a colour comparator, until the best match is achieved. The preparation of the colour standards, their storage and use are given in full detail.
