Supplements IEC 964 and identifies the man machine interface requirements for dedicate systems, multiplexed conventional systems, and soft control systems. Is intended for application to the design of new main control rooms in nuclear power plants designed to IEC 964 and which is initiated after the publication of this standard. If it is desired to apply it to supplementary control points or local control positions, or to existing control rooms or designs, special caution shall be exercised as it makes assumptions such as automation level that may not apply.
