The standard includes specifications for testing and thermal output of radiators, convectors and similar appliances. It describes the measuring methods to be used, the necessary corrections and the presentation of test results. The contents were updated, particularly the test installation for the weighing method and the calculation for correcting the influence of air pressure. The formal specifications for testing and certification were transferred to a individual certification programm which is separated from the standard. The definitions were removed and added to a comprehensive terminology clause in DIN 4703 part 3.
