Establishes the arrangement for the preparation and execution of laboratory model tests as well as for the evaluation of the results obtained. Defines in Part 1 the terms and quantities and deals with technical guarantees, test conditions to be fulfilled, the test procedure, the computation of results and the final report. Describes in Part 2 the different methods of measurement of the particular quantities. Is not concerned with the structural details of turbines nor with the mechanical properties of their components as long as these do not affect the model performances.
