Specification of measures to be taken into consideration for the protection of patients and personnel from X-rays when designing X-ray equipment of the high rated voltages given. These protection measures specified are to be provided as an integral part of the equipment and additional ones such as structural shielding and the wearing of protective clothing may be required. This recommendation is not concerned with aspects of radiation protection as related to operational procedures.
