This part primarily intended to be applied to the design and construction stages. For large projects the designation system may need extension, prferably in coordination with instructions for the maintenance of the building. For flexible plans in prefabricated structures, coordinates may be used at an early stage. For the purpose of this standard the word room is deemed to include other areas.
