These requirements cover water buoyant cushions using unicellular plastic foam, kapok, or fibrous glass flotation material that are intended to be used in accordance with the applicable Regulations of the United States Coast Guard. The buoyant cushions shall be in accordance with the requirements of the United States Coast Guard Regulations, Subpart 160.048 and 160.049, Chapter I, Title 46, Code of Federal Regulations and to the documents referenced in this subpart.
