Specifies requirements for conduits of circular cross-section for the protection of the conductors and/or cables in electrical installations. Considers general requirements, general notes on tests, classification, marking, dimensions, construction, mechanical properties, resistance to heat, resistance to burning, electrical characteristics, external influences. Specifications for conduits of other cross-sections are under consideration. Outside diameters of conduits are covered by IEC 423.
