The standard is the german version of ISO 4109 "Fresh concrete - determination of the consistency - slump test" which, following the decision of sub-department VII of the building division of DIN, is to be adopted as a german standard without modification. The standard specifies a method for the determination of the consistency of fresh concrete by measuring the slums of a specimen of fresh concrete. The measurements take place after the removalof the mould in which the specimen has previously been compacted by tamping manually.
