The standard describes a chemical method for the determination of the biochemical oxygen demand in a water sample. After preparing of dilution water samples and control solutions the oxygen concentration is to determine by the method of DIN 38408 part 21 or DIN 38408 part 22. Afterwards the biochemical oxygen demand after n days is to compute by a numeric analysis.
