Deals with the performance and testing of meters intended to measure the area exposure product to the patient during medical radiological examinations. The purpose of the routine measurement of this value is to help in achieving an overall reduction in the radiation received by patients undergoing this type of examination. Terms whose use is restricted to the use of these meters are included. Appendix A contains a method of test and calibration, appendix B an index of additional terms and their definitions and appendix C graphical symbols.
