The document applies to general tolerances and required machining allowances, if applicable, for surfaces to be machined on rough castings of heavy metal alloys (copper, zinc, nickel, tin and lead cast materials), manufactured by sand moulding. General tolerances for angular dimensions are not specified. The specifications given in the document are inactive for new design. In these cases, DIN ISO 8062 shall be applied.
