Deals with internal fuses used to protect series capacitors for power systems. Fuses conforming to the standard are designed to isolate faulted capacitor elements to allow operation of the remaining parts of that capacitor unit and the bank in with the capacitor unit ist connected. Such fuses are not a substitute for a switching device. Formulates uniform requirements regarding performance and testing and provides a guide for co-ordination of fuse protection.
