The Report of type 3 is intended as a basis to achieve electromagnetic compatibility in system and equipment design, using test standards (techniques and limits), and mitigation methods (including installation practices), which satisfactorily take account of undesirable effects. Environment description is based on stating the electromagnetic levels expected from particular sources or classes of sources. The level expected at a particular location must then be determined with reference to the sources existing at that location.
